Kicking off from Glasgow
Your Glasgow day tours start in the popular tourist spot of Glasgow George Square. It’s the most famous of all six squares in the city, marked by its outstanding historic architecture.
Upon meeting your driver, you’ll embark on a short half-hour ride to The Helix Stirling. On the outskirts of the city, this stunning green space has become a much-loved get-away since it first opened in 2003. An advantage of coming by private chauffeur is the option to find a quiet spot to take a stroll. Be sure to take a moment to swing by The Kelpies. This hard-to-miss sculpture features two giant horse heads, and is quite a sight to behold!
As you head towards Stirling, be prepared for a jaw-dropping moment as Stirling castle appears before your eyes. As one of the most popular castles near Glasgow, you’ll be able to learn more about its grisly past. Towering over the city, this formidable castle demands lots of selfies to impress your friends back at home.
Speaking of cameras, make sure you have lots of juice left, because next on the list is a fleeting stop at Falkirk Wheels Stirling. This spectacle features a rotating boat lift connecting the local canals, and is quite a sight.
From Loch to Loch
As you depart Stirling and tour through the countryside, you’ll have time to take in Scotland’s beautiful landscape, green moors and flowing lakes. It’s the perfect introduction to the National Park of Loch Lomond.
As you enter the park, there’s much to explore in this stunning 1,865 km² backdrop. Your Glasgow day tour guide will be able to fast-track you to all the highlights. With so much stunning outdoor space, make the most of a brisk walk through the park, with views across the Loch. With enough time, you can even take a boat ride across Loch Lomond, that’s one to tick off your bucket list!
Concluding the tour
As your day comes to a close, there’s one final stop – nearby Helensburgh. Voted as one of the best places to live by the sea, take in the fresh sea air with a gentle walk along the coast. Stop for a seafood snack, fresh from the skipper that morning. What better way to uncover the Scottish way of life!
The beautiful journey back to Glasgow takes less than 45-minutes, as you return back to where you started in Glasgow’s George Square. What a lot to conquer – and all in one day!
